We provide training for therapists, and other professionals, in a number of areas. Past training includes ‘Burnout and Vicarious Tramatisation’; ‘Trauma and Sexual Abuse’; and ‘Using Creative Arts in Client Groups’.
FORTHCOMING TRAINING
We had been planning to facilitate a number of one-day workshops in autumn 2011 on transference and counter transference, starting with a workshop on erotic transference. However we have had to delay offering this training for the time being. We are looking at scheduling other events, and training, in 2011-2012 – please check the SWCTS website regularly for updates.
LIFESPAN INTEGRATION TRAINING – 15,16 MARCH 2012
SWCTS facilitated a two day initial training course on Lifespan Integration, in June 2011, in Sheffield. We are now planning on hosting part two of the training. Lifespan Integration is a relatively new technique which promotes rapid healing for people who have been through painful or frightening experiences including abuse or neglect. It was developed in the USA, by Peggy Pace, and training is usually available only in Europe or the USA. Part two of the training will be delivered by Peggy Pace, here in Sheffield, on 15 and 16 March 2012. Those who have attended the initial training elsewhere are welcome to join us. Please note you will have to have completed the initial training before you can attend the second part. The cost is £275 – £255 if booked by 16 December. For further details and a booking form please contact us at office@swcts.org.uk; or call us on 0114 275 2157.
