Group Activities

Therapeutic Group Work

Our main focus is on one-to-one, individual therapy but we also offer group work to the women on our waiting list. We regularly run wellbeing group courses – shorter courses of four to six weeks and a more in-depth 10 week course. These are ‘pre-therapy’ courses. Attendees go on to one-to-one therapy and the work they have done in the group helps them prepare for, and focus on, what they want to get from individual therapy. In the group you explore how to manage your feelings; manage stress; improve communication skills; learn about relaxation and mindfulness techniques.


In the past we have run one-off sessions on arts and creativity; relaxation and mindfulness; and equine therapy – working with horses.

We are open to new ideas about working with groups including working with other Sheffield services to run joint projects.
