Job Title: Finance and Monitoring Officer

Responsible to: Chief Executive Officer

Hours: 7.5 hours

Salary: £22,000 (pro rata) plus 8% pension contribution

Holidays: 6 weeks per annum pro rata

Sheffield Women’s Counselling and Therapy Service provides free, specialist trauma therapy where women can address their experiences of abuse and trauma in a safe and dedicated environment. We offer an individualised approach and for some women it is the only service they are able to engage with. We are a registered charity with a 29 year history of providing therapy services for women in Sheffield.

The Finance and Monitoring Officer ensures we have a clear, current and accurate picture of our income and expenditure so that we can make good choices for the sustainability and health of the charity.  The Finance and Monitoring Officer also keeps track of our service delivery and impact to ensure we are offering the best possible service to women in Sheffield who have experienced abuse and trauma. This is a highly rewarding post and would be well suited to someone who is passionate about making a positive difference to women’s lives and able to prioritise a busy workload.

You will be based at our office in Upperthorpe (S6), with some requirement to work from our Abbeydale Rd Office (S7) or in the community. You will join our small, friendly and supportive team of staff, volunteers and an active board. We are a reflective, learning organisation and offer opportunities for continuing professional development to all team members.

We are also looking for female volunteer counsellors/therapists to deliver one-to-one therapy. You should be either in your final year of an accredited training course with some experience of working with trauma and abuse, or you may already be qualified and looking to gain specialist experience in complex trauma work, and increase your hours.
